On the grounds of Woodlands Ring Secondary School, Orchid Park Sec School was founded in January 1999. The Pioneers had a 16-person stellar staff and 360 students. The principal and the teaching team created a lofty vision and a noble goal to set the course for the new school on these grounds, driven by a burning sense of purpose. The school moved into its facilities at No. 10 Yishun Street 81 on Monday, September 13, 1999, with the foundation solidly in place. With the help of the school's straightforward but inspirational motto, "Onward and Persevere," Orchid Park Secondary School, which was already renowned for its excellent discipline, was now prepared to take off.
