The Orewa College was established in 1956 and is a state coeducational combined intermediate and secondary school located in Orewa, north of Auckland, New Zealand on the Hibiscus Coast. As of April 2023, a total of 2014 students from Years 7 to 13 (ages 10 to 18) attend the school.

As a 
District High School with 101 students, Orewa College was founded in 1956. It became a college with about 370 students in 1974. It became a Year 7 to 13 school in 2005. The school's motto is "Towards enriched responsible citizenship".

The school is committed to providing a supportive and challenging learning environment that promotes high levels of academic and co-curricular achievement. The school has a wheelchair-accessible entrance and parking lot.

The Orewa College is open Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM, and is closed on Saturday and Sunday.

The Orewa College has several academic achievements, including:- 1. In 2019, the college had an 85% pass rate for NCEA Level 1. 2. The college meets the Ministry of Education's target of 85% of students achieving at least NCEA Level 2. 3. Māori and Pacific students also perform well compared to national averages. 4. The college has effective leadership and teaching and learning programs that engage students and promote their progress and achievement. 5. The college has a structured program for tutors to work with students to build skills such as self-management, teamwork, and learning to learn. The college has also undertaken multiple cutting-edge projects, including a successful Bring Your Device (BYOD) program for students in 2012, etc.

The Orewa College students have achieved highly across academic, arts, sporting, and community fields of endeavor. Many have strived and attained, regional and national representation honors. The Orewa College has some non-academic achievements, including:- 1. Bring Your Device (BYOD) program: In 2012, the school launched a program that allows students to bring their own devices. 2. Arts and Events Centre: The school and the Rodney District Council built a flexible, modern auditorium that is used by the community and the college. 3. Arts opportunities: Students can participate in dance, drama, singing, cultural, and instrumental groups. They regularly compete and perform at regional and national levels. 4. Mural: In 2021, Felicity Fang and Izzy Goldberg designed a mural that is now on the wall of the middle school building. 5. Fundraisers: In May 2023, the student council raised $806 for the Mental Health Foundation by organizing a photo booth and fundraisers. The school also has a four-step restorative/pastoral program called Manaaki Orewa, sustainability practices, and other programs, etc.
