School History & Details

Established in 1858, Otahuhu Primary School is the oldest school in Otahuhu District. It is a co-educational primary school which provides quality education to its students. The school has a proud history of treating students well. On 9th August the classes were conducted for the first time in a building belonging to the Church of England. After that, the school has made various changes to serve both primary and secondary students. Today the primary school students are from year 0 to year 6. There are around 500 students in the school and 50 staff. The school aims to make confident communicators and critical thinkers. Students are provided with bilingual programs in the Samoan, Maori, and Tongan Hubs.
