Pakistan Muslim High School, presently known as Pakistan Islamia Higher Secondary School Sharjah, was founded in 1974. In the beginning, the school was housed in a makeshift building near Al Qasimiah Camp. It was then moved to a special campus. It is a K–12 institution that meets the educational needs of children between the ages of four and eighteen. In 1990, the Pakistani Consulate General was given administrative responsibility for the institution. In his capacity as Chairman of the newly formed Board of Governors, His Excellency Aftab Hussain Syed assumed control of the institution. Under the new leadership, the institution made enormous strides in its development. Students' numbers have significantly risen.
