Pei Hwa Secondary School (PHSS) was first founded in 1934 as Pei Hwa Public School along Yio Chu Kang Road by the local community. The school was founded by the late Mr. Ang Gong Pin, who felt the need for a school in the area to provide education for the children of the villagers.
The school was originally housed in a small building with just two classrooms. However, the school quickly grew and by 1941, it had expanded to six classrooms.
The school was forced to close during the Japanese Occupation, but it reopened in 1945 after the war.
In 1955, Pei Hwa Public School was upgraded to a government-aided school and renamed Pei Hwa Secondary School.
The school moved to its current location in Fernvale Link in 2005.
Pei Hwa Secondary School has a long and proud history of academic excellence. The school has produced many outstanding students who have gone on to achieve great things in their chosen fields.
