Application Requirements

The Point Chevalier School Rangi-mata-rau Enrolment Information:-

  • Home Zone
  • Within the home zone all students who live shall be eligible to enrol at Point Chevalier School Rangi-mata-rau etc.
  • Out of zone enrolment
  • Each year the number of places the School Board will determine that are likely to be available for the enrolment of students who live outside the home zone. There have been no ‘out of zone’ places available for several years, not even for current students siblings.
  • If the School Board deems there are places available, then in the following order of priority the applications for enrolments will be processed:
  • 1. To applicants who are siblings of current students the first priority will be given.
  • 2. To applicants who are siblings of former students the second priority will be given.
  • 3. To applicants who have parents that are former students the third priority will be given.
  • 4. To applicants who are children of board employees the fourth priority will be given.
  • 5. To all other applicants the fifth priority will be given.
  • All other applications after these criteria will be considered.
  • If more applications are received than places are available, during Term 3 of the preceding year the school will hold a ballot.
