Puhinui School

Puhinui School is a primary school in Papatoetoe, Auckland, with around 600 students in Years 1–6. Puhinui School reflects its ethnically varied community, many of whom speak a language other than English. Puhinui School has an inclusive tone with a clear goal of enhancing student results. Community, honesty, opportunity, resilience, and respect are fundamental core principles. The school motto is "Others before Self," which is expressed in the pupils' respect and concern for others. Students have a sense of belonging at school and contribute to a healthy learning environment. The school is well-resourced, offering practical approaches to learning in science, technology, and the performing arts, as well as a variety of good numeracy and literacy initiatives. Staff are dedicated and kind, and students make good progress towards success. Our students are motivated and involved learners who consider how to learn, build on their accomplishments and receive adequate help in their studies.
