Application Requirements

Admission Process:-

Online Application Process and Procedures at Qatar Academy Al Khor:
The Qatar Academy Al Khor seeks to ensure that to the school all the students who are admitted will thrive in an environment of high academic expectations, from a well-rounded education provided will be able to benefit, and within the school community flourish socially and behaviorally.

1. The QAK Online Admission Form completion -
For enrollment at QAK, the first step towards being considered involves filling out the school online admission form with all the required documentation. On the following online admission link (http://qak.qa/online-admission) please click to access their online application form. The parents will receive an e-mail confirming that their account has been created upon completion of the online admission form. In addition to a link, it includes as well the Login and password information that refers them to the parent's login page.

** Before the completion of the online application process no admission decision can be made.

2. Supplementary application requirements submission -
Within the online application form, the following application requirements must be scanned and submitted for their child(ren) to be considered:

a. Passport-sized photograph of the student's recent.

b. Applicant’s 3 end-of-year reports (for applicants to Kindergarten, please provide the most recent report from Nursery or Pre-K only).

c. Applicant’s passport.

d. Applicant’s birth certificate.

e. Father’s (or Guardian’s passport), including a scanned copy of the visa for non-GCC nationals.

f. Mother’s passport.

g. Medical form.

h. Leaving certificate (for students transferring during the academic year).

3. Non-Refundable Application Fee -
After the application is submitted online a total of QR 500 non-refundable application fee is due. An electronic invoice by e-mail the parents will be receiving. This invoice the parents can also access this from their personal Applicant Status page by logging in to (https://qak.openapply.com/parents/sign_in). At this stage, with online payment, the parents can proceed.

4. Checklist Items Pending parent completion -
In the case mentioned above any of the application requirements were not appropriately fulfilled, a note via e-mail with the list of checklist items that are still pending their completion the parents will be receiving. On their Application status login page here: (https://qak.openapply.com/parents/sign_in) the parents will be asked to review and complete these items, once the missing items have completed uploading, in the admission process they can move to the next stage.

5. Testing Schedule -
At this stage, for admission, this is an application, and filling out the online admission form does not guarantee the enrolment is what the parent should understand. The completed online applications the Admissions Office reviews and determines whether for admission the applicant may be tested. With the decision the Admissions Office then notifies the parents and the applicants to proceed to the next stage of the process to schedule the testing dates. By e-mail, the parents will be automatically notified and on the parent dashboard, the same notification will appear.

6. Previous Learning Support Assessment -
To Qatar Academy Al Khor at the point of admission, to all the prospective students and their parents, it is made clear that with the teaching and support staff, they are expected to cooperate with the whole community to promote the greater good. Establishing a full partnership with parents to promote the interests of the student body is their goal. Upon mutual honesty and respect, this partnership must be based. Of any medical condition they have the right to expect full submission/disclosure should be written in the medical form.

7. On-site Admissions screening and entry assessments procedures -
For the children who meet the age requirements for specific grade levels, for admission, the QAK will consider those children at the same level of fluency who can study English and Arabic. At QAK the students enrolled are expected to have Arabic as their mother tongue. To demonstrate a proficiency level in both languages the students are expected that in their respective level upon demission allows to successfully the curriculum. For admission to be considered. The Entrance exams all students must have completed in English, Arabic, and Math demonstrated grade-level competence. For those whose applying for KG to Grade 11 admission at all Grade levels are selected in the form of a written test and/or interviews, to be accepted at QAK for Preschools Children who must pass the interview.

All all levels, with any previous school or educational establishment the school reserve the right to make direct contact and to request a confidential report. For comment on academic progress to date, this will ask, about the broader life of the school involvement, and general behavioral standards.

8. Entrance exam result -
The parents will receive an e-mail confirming if their child has been accepted or rejected upon finalizing the results. If accepted, via the parent dashboard kindly complete the following registration.

a. A non-refundable fee of QR 3000 is to be paid electronically. An electronic invoice the parents will be receiving.

b. To all the terms and conditions of the e-Enrollment package the parents are required to read and agree by clicking on I agree.

After submitting the above documents through the online system a total of QR 3000 non-refundable registration fees are due.

In the school, if the parents wish to continue their child's enrollment and guarantee his/her seat, within 3 working days they must complete the above registration procedure.

By email, they will be receiving an electronic invoice. From their personal Applicant Status page, they can also access this invoice by logging in to (https://qak.openapply.com/parents/sign_in). At this stage, with online payment, the parents can proceed.

9. Admission Policy & Selection Criteria -
** According to the sear availability and QF school's priory policy the new or wait pool students will be admitted:

1. Current QAK student's siblings.

2. For the coming school year the children of the teaching staff hired to QF Schools.

3. Without siblings the new Qatari students.

4. Without siblings the new children of QF employees.

5. On the date of application other based.

10. Parents’ communication channel -
Through the online system the QAK will be communicating with parents, and in Qatar Academy Al Khor the Office of Admissions and Registration, is ready to answer all their inquiries.
The school recommends the parents keep checking their accounts on the site to ensure that they are aware of all of their messages and responses and to keep following their child's application stages.

For QF Schools Withdrawal Process -
From a QF school to begin withdrawing a student, to submit an online withdrawal form (https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeFoXpaWy_tEoYQeZ_1DtUDFzz7YG598qgkIgUN7FxxmwZ7VA/viewform) the parent/guardian is requested. Within three working days, the school will process the request.

Please note that to attend an exit interview meeting with the school director the parent/guardian and the student will be invited to discuss the withdrawal. To attend this meeting the parent/guardian and the student are required to complete the formal process.
