Generations of young women have received genuinely progressive education from Queenswood since 1894. The new Queenswood location was formally inaugurated on June 15, 1926. In the preceding years there was opening of Belling Centre and Sixth Form Centre. Virginia Wade inaugurated 16 tennis courts with all-weather surfaces. Quenswood School then had café with self-service introduced. The school celebrated its 120th anniversary at the Barbican in 2014. All female students at Queenswood, a Methodist institution, must participate in chapel services. To welcome new girls and bid farewell to upper sixth leavers, special services are held at the school. A crucial aspect of the pastoral care at the school is the tutoring programme.
