Ramkhamhaeng Advent International School was founded in 1999 in the Bang Kapi District of Bangkok, Thailand. Ramkhamhaeng Advent International School (RAIS) is a privately owned Christian school in Bangkok that serves students from nursery to grade 12. The G.J. Education Company, Ltd. runs it. RAIS was founded in August 1999 under the name Ramkhamhaeng Adventist International School (a slight name change occurred in 2005). RAIS had 69 students in its initial school year and has shown constant growth in enrollment in each successive year since its founding. Without counting the feeding programs, the most recent enrollment data show a total of roughly 700 pupils in grades K-12 and English as a Foreign Language (EFL). In addition to emphasizing academic accomplishment, the RAIS curriculum emphasizes character development. Students are educated and encouraged to show respect for different cultures and people in both words and actions. Academics at RAIS are focused on scholastic learning and moral development.
