The Rangitoto College was established in 1956 and is a state secondary school for years 9 to 13 located on the North Shore of Auckland, New Zealand. As of April 2023, the school has 3,457 students, making it the largest "brick-and-mortar" school in the country.

The Rangitoto College is known for its excellent learning environment and preparing students for future success. The school is also one of New Zealand's most experienced schools at hosting international students, with around 8% of its student population coming from over 25 different countries. The school celebrates cultural diversity and provides a high level of support to its international students.

The Rangitoto College is located in Mairangi Bay, about 20 minutes by car from the central city. The school is open Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, and is closed on Saturday and Sunday, etc.

Achievements

The Rangitoto College has a strong academic program and produces high-quality graduates. In 2021, students at the school achieved 244 scholarship passes in the New Zealand Scholarship exams, including 34 "Outstanding" passes. The school offers a dual pathway program, including the globally recognized International Baccalaureate Diploma Program and NCEA. It also offers help sessions for the New Zealand Chemistry and Biology Olympiads. The school's website says that its highly qualified teachers, strong curriculum, and outstanding facilities create a supportive and inspiring learning environment, etc.

Non-Academic Achievements

Of its strong sporting achievements the Rangitoto College is proud. In boy's volleyball, swimming, and sailing the Rangitoto teams were national champions and also podiumed in boys' and beach volleyball, girls’ volleyball, and girls' water polo. In the following sports such as basketball, cheerleading, sailing, swimming, volleyball, and water polo the school also had athletes selected in national teams, and athletics, badminton, judo, swimming, stand-up paddling, skateboarding, diving, and sailing individuals achieved national medals. The following Rangitoto premier/senior teams at the regional level were either Auckland or North Harbour Champions; Boys Basketball, Girls Badminton, Beach volleyball, Equestrian, Netball, and Pentanque. Several outstanding achievements in 2022  have already been. For their premier boys and girls water polo teams the most notable being National Secondary School gold medals and for their girls and boys’ volleyball teams Auckland championship gold and silver medals respectively.

Alex Maloney: Champion sailor. 4. Amy Adams: Member of Parliament for the Selwyn electorate. 5. Marco Alexander: Basketball player. 6. Terenzo Bozzone: Athlete. 7. Xenia Foote: Graduated in 1999 and is qualified in communications and public relations. Alumni can engage with the college in several ways, including volunteering, etc.
