Ras Al Khaimah American Academy (RAKAA) was established in 2008. The school was the vision and dream of His Highness Sheikh Faisal Bin Saqr Al Qassimi, who wanted his daughter to receive the highest quality education in a nurturing and confident environment. His vision grew, which resulted in the inception of all girls schools from K–12 in the Ras Al Khaimah community. Due to the increasing population and demand for mixed-gender education, a boys school was also opened in 2021. Now the school has mixed-gender classes from kindergarten through grade 4, and from grade 5 onward, there are separate sections for both girls and boys.
