Reporting Schedule: There are three full sets of Reports for Parents & Students each year: - End of Term 1 Report (December), End of Term 2 Report (March/April) and End of Year Report (June). 2 short reports are also provided in October and February.

They have a very strong Foreign Language Program where they teach Arabic and French as part of the Curriculum and extend to Mandarin and other foreign languages via external providers according to the demands of their Parent Community. English as a Foreign Language is also available for non-native speakers of English and is integrated purposefully into the school day according to the level of intensive intervention needed.

Accelerated learning pathways: for the ‘Gifted & Talented’ students.

They have a very experienced support team who are knowledgeable and experienced in working with children with specific learning difficulties. This enables them to provide a high quality of support both in the classroom and through targeted interventions. Each child's needs are individually assessed and Individual Achievement Plans (IAPs) are developed for them which are reviewed and updated frequently throughout the year. They work closely with families and appropriate external professionals to ensure the optimum level of support.

At present, there are two educational psychologists that they signpost parents to. Both work for very reputable companies in Dubai and are happy to carry put the assessments upon parents' consent. Parents are also at liberty to consult with any qualified educational psychologist of their choice.

The pre-packed lunch is priced at AED 22. This includes a starter (variety of salads) and one main dish. The pre-packed lunch is available for EYFS to Secondary students. Ansamble team will deliver the meals straight to their classrooms right before their lunch break. Parents need to pre-book their order in advance, via the links provided below. Orders must be placed every Saturday by 5:00 PM (cut off time) for the following week’s order.

Friends of Regent International School (FRIS) is a platform for parents to actively participate in their child’s education. Each parent is automatically a member of FRIS and is welcome to contribute in his/her own capacity. Parents can volunteer to host activities, organize events, and contribute during fund raises or in any way as they see fit to support the school community. More than anything, FRIS is about having fun and connecting with the child and their peers. Parents get to meet other parents and be an active participant in shaping their child’s development. FRIS has successfully organized many fund-raisers, charities, social activities and other community events at RIS. FRIS events are a huge attraction in the school calendar. If one would like to find out more, feel free to come along to a FRIS meeting and share their experiences and passion for contributing to their child’s education. RIS has a strong Parent Engagement Program that provides parents the required guidance, understanding, infrastructure, resources, parenting tips, support groups, informational workshops, volunteer organizations and channels to assist them in participating in their child’s learning. Several key initiatives and channels of communication that make this program successful are.

A strong parent engagement program underpins their approach to education. Research has proven that when parents actively participate in their child’s education at home, the child does much better at school and achieves greater success in life. RIS actively involves parents in their child’s education. Parents are provided with the opportunity to participate in their child's learning while celebrating and appreciating the cultures of all their families. Parents also socialize and get to know each other thereby building strong links in RIS parent community. Communication with Parents, VLE, FRIS, Parent Drop-in Sessions and Parent Teacher Meetings, Parent Curriculum Workshops, Parent Association, Advisory Council and Other Initiatives.

RIS has an active Advisory Council where parents have representation and are able to voice their concerns to the school in a formal manner. In this way, a constructive dialogue is maintained between all stakeholders in the school.

Workshops are held regularly in the term where parents learn of their child’s program of study so that they can actively participate in supporting their child's education.
