Regent's International School Bangkok

With 32 rental homes in Pattaya, Chonburi, our Chairman and Founder, Dr. Virachai, launched The Regent's School in 1992, equipped with his creative educational vision. He was motivated to establish an international school by the locals, who were Exxon, Foster Wheeler, and Fluor Daniel executives, to draw foreign engineers to the eastern region of Thailand. With 100 students, The Regent's School in Pattaya opened its doors in 1995. Dr. Virachai intended to offer Bangkok pupils the same superior education he did in 1999 as the institution grew and saw success.

The Thailand Cultural Center is close to where the first campus in Bangkok debuted. The current Bangkok location was established in 2009 to accommodate Early Years and Primary classes as the school expanded and welcomed more families into its global community. An agreement for a joint venture to open The Regent's School UK in Diss, Norfolk, not far from Cambridge, was inked that same year.

The school's success has been largely attributed to its investment in excellent teachers, practically all of whom are British and must all have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Top universities including Oxford, Cambridge, LSE, and Imperial College London in the UK as well as Stanford, Cornell, Wharton, and UCLA in the US have benefited from it.

The school intends to keep growing and maintaining its status as a high academic international institution in the Thai capital by attracting the children of world monarchs and ministers as boarders here at the Bangkok Campus.
