The Rutgers Preparatory School Admission Process is as mentioned below:-

• Procedure for Applicants in Grades Pre-Kindergarten through 5
• 1. Complete the Rutgers Prep Application:
• Please click (https://rutgersprep.myschoolapp.com/app#login/apply) to begin your application online. The school also accept the Standard Application Online, available at "SSAT.org".
• 2. Schedule Your Interview and Personal Tour:
• Once your application is submitted, through the application portal please schedule an appointment for an interview and personalized tour.
• 3. What to Expect - Testing/Classroom Observations:
• For students entering Pre-K through Grade Five, their Lower School Admission team will evaluate applicant files, based on an interview, testing, report cards (where applicable), and a teacher recommendation. In addition, by a member of their faculty the Lower School applicants will be assessed. Regarding the process the school will notify you and will arrange for a time that is convenient for your family.
• This consist of Classroom Observations and IOWA Testing etc.
• 4. Submit Teacher Recommendation Forms:
• For Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 5, from the primary teacher one recommendation is required.
• The teacher recommendation forms are generated for your convenience and through your application portal sent electronically.
• 5. Submit Official Transcripts:
• To your child’s current school a signed Transcript Request From needs to be sent so official grades and test scores may be released and to their Admission Office sent directly.
• Procedure for Applicants in Grades 6 through 12
• 1. Complete the Rutgers Prep Application:
• Please click (https://rutgersprep.myschoolapp.com/app#login/apply) to begin your application online. The school also accept the Standard Application Online, available at "SSAT.org".
• 2. Schedule Your Interview and Personal Tour:
• Once your application is submitted, through the application portal please schedule an appointment for an interview and personalized tour. After the visit, at Rutgers to schedule a shadow day the Upper School candidates will be invited Prep hosted by a current student. The Director of Admission will contact families i.e. for Middle School candidates.
• 3. Submit Test Scores:
• To Rutgers Prep (School Code: 6202) the Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT) scores are to be submitted for consideration as part of the admission process. The school will also accept the ISEE (Grades 6-11) and the PSAT (Grades 10 and 11).
• In-person SSAT exams (with limited space) the Rutgers Prep will host on the following dates in 2023/2024 -
• a. October 14.
• b. November 11.
• c. December 9.
• d. January 6.
• e. February 3.
• f. April 20.
• 4. Submit Teacher Recommendation Forms:
• From at least two teachers i.e. one from a Math teacher and the other from an English or History teacher, the school require recommendations. These teachers should be the current teacher of the student's.

• When will Admission Decisions be Communicated?
• In late February the Rutgers Prep notifies candidates of admission decisions. In order to be considered in the first round of decisions for the upcoming academic year, the candidates should complete their application by early-February. After the first round of decisions the rolling admission will begin, space permitting.
• Once a student is offered admission, a formal acceptance the parents will be sent, along with enrollment materials, including the School calendar, payment instructions and electronic contract.
