Salterford House School is an independent prep school in rural North Nottinghamshire, UK, which was established in 1981 by Mrs Marlene Venables. The school, initially started with only 8 pupils, has now grown to accommodate around 100 children in small class sizes. The vision for the school focuses on individual-based education within a nurturing and caring environment. After Mrs Venables' retirement in 2019, the role of headteacher was taken over by her daughter, Miss Venables. The school, set within a 4-acre site, has a family feel to it and promotes creative and inquisitive learning through nature-based outdoor activities. The school is now owned by David Allison, whose vision closely matches that of Mrs Venables.
