School History & Details

The Sancton Wood School is a wonderful example of how education has been transformed over the years. This independent primary school was established in 1976 and has since been providing quality education to young students. In 1979, the school took a step forward and opened a senior school department. This initiative gave the school the opportunity to expand its reach and cater to the educational needs of older students as well. It was during this time that the Sancton Wood School became an institution that was synonymous with quality education and high academic standards. One of the key reasons why this school has been successful is because it has been under the ownership of the Sturdy family. They are known for their contribution to education, owning other notable institutions such as Cambridge International School and Holme Court School. They have a passion for creating institutions that offer education to all, irrespective of background, social status, or ability. However, the times have changed and so has the ownership of Sancton Wood School. In 2014, the Sturdy family decided to sell the school to Minerva Education. This new owner brings a fresh perspective and new ideas to the school.
