Himachla Shiksha Samiti established the school in 1988–1989 in a rented structure in the village of Anji (Vikasnagar). The land needed to build the school was purchased in 1992, and work on it began in 1993.The Central Board of Secondary Education (C B S E) replaced the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education Dharamshala as the school's affiliation after 2003.
