Scindia Kanya Vidyalaya, SKV was founded in 1956 by the visionary Late Rajmata of Gwalior, Srimant Vijaya Raje Scindia, with the aim of empowering the girl child in a newly independent India. Her dream was to provide modern, progressive education while instilling in young girls the values needed to become responsible citizens. The school was inaugurated by the then President of India, Dr. Rajendra Prasad, and has since remained committed to blending the roots of tradition with the freedom to explore new horizons.
