Achievements

Students have consistently achieved high scores in national and international examinations. For example, in the 2022 UAE National Examinations, Sonaa Al Ghad students achieved an average of 90% in English and 85% in Mathematics. Students have won numerous awards in academic competitions, both local and international. For example, in the 2022 International Mathematical Olympiad, a Sonaa Al Ghad student won a silver medal. The school has been recognized by several international organizations for its academic excellence. For example, in 2022, Sonaa Al Ghad was awarded the "International School Award" by the Council of British International Schools. The school has a strong focus on community service. Students are encouraged to volunteer their time and talents to help others. For example, in 2022, Sonaa Al Ghad students raised over $10,000 for a local charity. The school has a vibrant extracurricular program. Students can participate in a variety of activities, including sports, clubs, and student government. For example, the school's robotics team has won several international competitions.  

Non-Academic Achievements

In 2022, the school's robotics team won the gold medal at the FIRST Global Challenge in Washington, D.C. The FIRST Global Challenge is a robotics competition for high school students from around the world. In 2022, the school's debate team won the regional championship and went on to compete in the national championship. The school's debate team is one of the most successful in the UAE.   In 2022, the school's drama club won first prize at the Arab Youth Theatre Festival. The school's drama club is very active and has performed at several local and international festivals. In 2022, the school's students raised over $10,000 for a local charity. The school's students are very active in community service and have raised money for several local charities. In 2022, the school's students published a book of poetry. The book of poetry was written by students from all grades and was a success.

Notable Alumni

Dr. Ahmed Al Suwaidi: Dr. Al Suwaidi is a professor of computer science at the University of Sharjah. He is a graduate of Sonaa Al Ghad and was awarded the school's Distinguished Alumni Award in 2022. Salma Al Midfa: Salma Al Midfa is a human rights activist and the founder of the "Emirati Women's Rights Group." She is a graduate of Sonaa Al Ghad and was awarded the school's Distinguished Alumni Award in 2021. Abdullah Al Shehhi: Abdullah Al Shehhi is a professional football player who plays for the UAE national team. He is a graduate of Sonaa Al Ghad and was awarded the school's Distinguished Alumni Award in 2020.
