South Hills Academy, a private school in the quiet community of West Covina (Los Angeles), was founded in 1957 and now has 530 pupils. This program combines a scholastic and scientific approach with Christian morality and fundamental human values, instilling them in students throughout the learning experience. This contributes to the complex development of each child's personality: school graduates exhibit exceptional maturity in all areas (intellectual, athletic, creative, psycho-emotional, and social). The official religion is Christianity. South Hills Academy is an active member of several notable educational organizations, including the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and the Western States Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). The school has 24 teachers, all of whom are certified and experienced experts in their respective fields; the teacher-to-student ratio is 1:22. Classes are kept small so that professors may closely monitor each student's academic accomplishment, and growth, and assist in the event of a problem.
