St. Marys Convent College

St. Mary's Convent College, Nainital, is located on a gently sloping slope with 26 acres of land that is admirably suited for a boarding school. Mother Salesia Reiner created it in 1878 to provide an all-around education to all members of society, regardless of caste, creed, or socioeconomic background. The children are prepared for the ICSE examination at the Class 10 level and the ISC examination at the +2 level, which are administered by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi. The sisters of the Congregation of Jesus operate the school in partnership with a dedicated and qualified team. The Christian Society established and administers this institution, which is governed by Articles 29 and 30 of the Indian Constitution. St. Mary's Convent High School Nainital is managed by the Religious Congregation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, which was founded by Mother Mary Ward in 1609. In 1853, the sisters of this community arrived in Patna from Germany and founded St. Joseph's Convent, India's first convent and school. In 1878, M. Salesia Reiner established a foundation in Nainital as a health resort for the elderly German Sisters who could not bear the heat of the plains.
