School History & Details

St Piran's history begins in 1805, when students at a modest Blackheath school named Eliot Place, including future prime minister Benjamin Disraeli, obtained their early education.Under Thomas Nunns's leadership, the school relocated to its current location in 1872 so that students may benefit from the improved air quality and more room for sports. For the sons of nobility and aspiring gentry, space was paramount! For the following 47 years, Cordwalles School operated successfully as a boys' residential school after it was founded.
