At the Stafford Sri Lankan School Doha the age group for admissions for the respective classes are as follows:

Pre Primary

1. Lower Kindergarten – 03 years and 29 days.
2. Upper Kindergarten – 04 years and 29 days.

Primary

1. Year 1 – 05 years and 29 days.
2. Year 2 – 06 years and 29 days.
3. Year 3 – 07 years and 29 days.
4. Year 4 – 08 years and 29 days.
5. Year 5 – 09 years and 29 days.
6. Year 6 – 10 years and 29 days.

Secondary

1. Year 7 – 11 years and 29 days.
2. Year 8 – 12 years and 29 days.
3. Year 9 – 13 years and 29 days.

Year 10 (Pre-IGCSE) – 14 years and 29 days.

Year 11 (IGCSE) – 15 years and 29 days.

Year 12 (AS Level) – 16 years and 29 days.

Year 13 (A2 Level) – 17 years and 29 days.

Entry Qualification for Lower Reception

Age Requirement :

By 30th September the LKG applicants should be strictly 3 years and 29 days.

Competency level

1. In-dependency.
2. Identify Shapes/Colors/ Letters and Numbers to 10.

Admission Procedure

1. Admission will be granted subject to the availability of a place and the pupil satisfying the Admissions criteria.

2. The application for admission will be uploaded on the website from the beginning of March to the end of April each year. (will be mentioned as per MOE instructions).

3. Duly filled out the application form of the student along with a valid Qatar residence permit to be submitted online through the School website.

4. When the duly filled application is received it will be logged in and a reference number will be provided to the applicant.

5. The entrance assessment test will be provided as per the level of the applicant, based on the British National Curriculum. For school purposes only the assessment is and will not be disclosed.

6. To LKG & UKG the students enrolling will be evaluated through an oral test. For a placement examination, the students from Grades 1 & upwards will have to sit. (English Language and Mathematics).

7. If the child fails to meet the expected level of the entrance assessment, their application will be withdrawn, and the parents will be informed by the Admission Department.

8. The offer of a place will be sent via email. From the applicants, if an acknowledgment is not received within five working days from the date the acceptance email has been sent, the place offered may be withdrawn.

9. The school reserves the right to withdraw the place, in case of information about the student has been withheld, or the school is not able to meet the child’s educational and/or social needs.

10. Registrations will not be considered complete until all appropriate fees have been paid.

12. In Qatar from other Schools the students joining, along with the transfer letter should submit a leaving certificate attested by the Ministry of Education Qatar (once admission is confirmed).

13. From out of Qatar the students joining should provide a leaving certificate along with the previous year's report cards.

14. Any student joining for Grades 6 upwards should provide a character certificate issued by the respective school attended.

For admission the documents required are

1. Copies of Passport of Guardians.

2. Copy of the Passport of the Applicant.

3. Copies of valid Qatar ID of Guardians.

4. Copy of valid Qatar ID of Applicant.

5. Copy of the Birth Certificate of the Applicant. (English Translation).

6. Two recent passport-size Photographs of the Applicant.

7. Copy of Hamad's Health Card.

8. Copy of Immunization Card.

9. Leaving Certificate from the previous School.

10. Last Term report card from the previous school.

11. Character Certificate from the previous school.
