On Wednesday, May 8, 1935, the Staines Preparatory School debuted with just eleven boys enrolled. Under the direction of Mr. Monger and the newly established Board of Governors, the school carried on with its development. Older portions of the property were removed and replaced with the Burges Wing in 1991. The school had its peak enrollment at this time, with 419 students enrolled. More construction was done during the ensuing years; Ravenscroft and Thorndean were expanded, and the Nursery was constructed in 1995. Today, the school is a cutting-edge centre for academic achievement, and on May 8th, each year, the school joins together to honour Mr. and Mrs. Burges and commemorate the founding of Staines Preparatory School.
The goal of Staines Preparatory School is to help its students become lifelong learners who reach their full potential in all spheres of life.
