The Sekolah Menengah Stella Maris Pudu was established in 1997 and is the first Stella Maris private school under the aegis of Yayasan Tan Sri Dominic Vendargon. This school occupies a purpose-built, four-storey building situated in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, next to the Church of St. Anthony. With its emphasis on the holistic development of the student  Stella Maris Pudu follows the Malaysian national curriculum (KBSM & KSSM). In addition, to enrich the kind of education received by each student the school has various value-added programs and activities.
The Sekolah Stella Maris is a private co-educational institution. In its students, part of the school's educational package is instilling ethical values, and it aims to create balanced, disciplined, and committed individuals.

The Sekolah Menengah Stella Maris Pudu held an annual event on September 23, 2023, to honor students who excelled academically.  Here are some other academic achievements at Sekolah Menengah Stella Maris Pudu:- 1. Earth Magnetosphere Project: In 2020, Ms. Farhanah conducted a project for Form 3 students to raise awareness about the Earth's magnetosphere. 2. Annual inter-class games: Stella Maris students participate in annual inter-class games, including badminton, basketball, table tennis, etc & if any.
