Stuart Hall School was established in 1844. It is a Virginia Female institute that has a strong mission of providing an excellent arts education and personal honor to every student. From the first headmaster to the present day each leader has set high academic and personal standards. After 180 years the school's original building is still standing with various academic and non-academic facilities. During the pandemic, the school faced many challenges. It developed a unique hybrid learning program that allows students regardless of their location to have full academic experience.
