School History & Details

Summit Point School opened its doors in 2017 as the nation's first registered, full-curriculum school for dyslexic students. It is a recognized charity and a member of the Independent Schools of New Zealand. Summit Point serves children and adolescents with learning disabilities such as dyslexia, 2e, APD, dysgraphia, dyspraxia, dyscalculia, ADHD, and anxiety. It takes children from Years 2 to 8 and has two campuses: a senior cohort in Grey Lynn and a younger cohort in Takapuna. Their approach to education differs from that of traditional schools. They blend internationally known research-based practices with their innovative curriculum, allowing students to find their true selves, what they enjoy, and, most importantly, what they are good at.
