The history of the Swiss Boarding Schools Disentis & Zurich (Zurich Campus) dates back to 1873 when the school was founded as a private girls' school. The school was originally located in the center of Zurich, but it moved to its current location in the suburb of Winterthur in 1912.

The school became a coeducational school in 1977, and it began offering the British Curriculum. The school was renamed Swiss Boarding Schools Disentis & Zurich in 2011, to reflect its two campuses in Disentis and Zurich. The Zurich Campus is located on a beautiful 10-acre campus in the suburb of Winterthur. The campus features a variety of state-of-the-art facilities, including classrooms, laboratories, a library, a dining hall, and a gymnasium. The campus also has a residential facility that can accommodate up to 100 students.

The Zurich Campus offers a challenging academic program that prepares students for success at universities around the world. The school offers a variety of courses, including math, science, English, history, and languages. The school also offers a variety of extracurricular activities, including sports, arts, and clubs.

All former students of the Swiss Boarding Schools Disentis and Zurich, as well as the Gymnasium Kloster Disentis, are eligible for membership in the Association. Annually, different sections of the Association, like the Zurich and Bern Sections, host events for their members. These events provide our alumni with opportunities to sustain and broaden their network. This program is complemented by "school fiestas," alumni days, and Matura anniversaries. Additionally, members can benefit from an electronic newsletter and a magazine.
