The Swiss Cottage Secondary School (SCSS) was established in 1963 and Bukit Batok, Singapore is a co-educational government secondary school, leading to the Singapore-Cambridge GCE Ordinary Level or Singapore-Cambridge GCE Normal Level examinations this school offers secondary education.
With about 200 pupils the SCSS started in 1962 at Raffles Institution at Bras Basah Road along Dunearn Road the school building was still under construction. In July 1963, into new school premises at Swiss Cottage Estate (along Dunearn Road), the students and staff, which in November 1963 officially opened, in two mediums, namely English and Malay with an enrolment of about 870 pupils. In 1966, the SCSS was described as one of the foremost integrated schools in Singapore by the Minister for Law and National Development Edmund W. Barker.
In 1991, from Dunearn Road the SCSS relocated to its current Bukit Batok campus. In 1997, among all secondary schools in Singapore, the SCSS was ranked 19.
