At the intersection of May's Road and Captain Springs Road in Onehunga, Auckland, the school building was constructed in 1913. There were just four rooms in it. The largest room was divided in 1915, and another room was constructed, but by 1919, the number of people requiring accommodations had increased, necessitating the creation of two more rooms. These eight rooms are all brick construction. Adjacent to the main structure, a three-room wooden infant school was constructed in 1927. A fourth room was added in 1928. The official opening ceremony was held on April 9, 1913.
