School History & Details

The Children's Academy commenced in September 2008 as Bahrain's first autonomous, dedicated special needs school. The school, which is located in Riffa, is everything the parents of a child with special education needs would want. So much so that parents whose children have historically struggled to accomplish expected levels of attainment in a mainstream school establishment should be especially happy with this addition to Bahrain's educational program. The Children's Academy ensures that the children are taught in classes with low teacher-pupil ratios and that multiple teaching assistants are in each class to provide one-on-one attention. The British National Curriculum, International Primary Curriculum, NCFE, BTEC, and GCSEs are available to the students.

    School Values

The formation of a positive self-image is essential for a child's full potential.
