A group of local parents founded the Children's House Nursery School in 1973 to offer Islington high-quality early childhood education. Initially, it was operated out of a parent's house, and later, it moved to St Stephen's Church in Canonbury Road. The current Nursery building on Elmore Street was bought after a number of fund-raising initiatives. In 2005, they rented a Victorian school building on King Henry's Walk and inaugurated the Upper School in response to parents' requests to expand upon the Nursery programme. Children between the ages of two and four years old are served by their current Nursery, which is located on Elmore Street. Their youngest students, in Reception to Year 3, are housed in the Upper School on King Henry's Walk. They began enrolling students in Year 3 in September 2022, and they will gradually expand organically until they are a complete prep school.
Children's House Nursery School Values are as follows:
Their goal is for kids to graduate from our programme as independent, communicative, resilient, happy, and joyful learners!
