The Downs Preparatory School was established in the year 1930. Workplace success in the twenty-first century demands endurance, resilience, and teamwork. They try to promote these attributes by incorporating them into our curriculum and daily school activities. It is their responsibility to ensure that every child feels valued as a member of their community and to support them in reaching their full potential. Participating in the extensive extracurricular programme, which we work hard to improve, helps them gain confidence.
The Downs Preparatory School ideals are intended to assist kids in becoming the best versions of themselves. They affect how they eat lunch, how they converse with one another, and of course, how they instruct and learn. They are a reflection of what the school has to offer and of their goals as a community and as individuals. The values are: Explore, Excel, Express. Every lesson demonstrates how their ideals are lived out. Their kids receive the encouragement they need to succeed, the freedom to express themselves, and the inspiration to explore. Value-based house points and awards are given to them in appreciation of their achievements. Every year, they even dedicate an entire week to honouring our principles and their beneficial influence on our neighbourhood!
