Every September, The Hall only accepts 50 boys into Reception courses (age 4+). Assessments for these positions take place in the Spring Term before. Very rarely, openings in Years 1 (5+) through 7 (11+) may occur due to a family moving out of London or a boy leaving the school for whatever reason. Only in extremely unusual circumstances will the school consider granting a place in Year 8, as having only one year at the school won't likely allow the kid enough time to settle in and get ready for the Common Entrance exams.
