The Merchant Taylors' Girls' School

At Merchant Taylors, they support the girls in achieving success in a supportive and stimulating learning environment. After the boys' school moved less than a mile away in 1874, the buildings were inherited by the Merchant Taylors' Girls' School, which opened its doors in 1888.  While they are pleased of the academic success they have achieved, they never lose sight of the needs and welfare of each and every girl entrusted to our care, assisting them in realising how amazing they are and extending their horizons. One of the most prestigious and established girls' schools in the North of England is Merchant Taylors. They take great pride in their history of assisting girls in achieving academic achievement. They also provide a wide range of extracurricular and enrichment programmes, as well as an environment that emphasises kindness and consideration for others. Girls are encouraged to explore new hobbies, participate in novel activities, and join us in Year 7.
