The Winstedt School

Admission to The Winstedt School is determined through a thoughtful application process that for both your child and the Winstedt International School community ensures a good fit.

From August to June the school's academic year runs. However, throughout the year Winstedt offers rolling enrolment, pending availability in the class.

The Winstedt School admission process follows the following 6 steps and those steps are as mentioned below:-

• Step 1 Enquire: The parents can give the school a call, drop them an email or submit an online enquiry and they will be happy to get in touch. For more details on how the parents can reach the school, visit their Contact page (https://winstedt.edu.sg/contact/).
• Step 2 Visit: To experience The Winstedt School the best way is to see it for yourself! From Mondays through Fridays the school tours are conducted, about an hour per session, at 10 am or 1 pm. For the School Tour to arrange a visit, please contact at ([email protected]) etc.
• Step 3 Apply:
• Step A - Register Online
• On the school's application platform OpenApply (https://winstedt.openapply.com/apply) begin by setting up your child's account etc.
• Step B - How to upload the required documents the online application will guide you through and those documents are as mentioned below:
• 1. Student’s birth certificate.
• 2. Student’s immunization records.
• 3. Digital headshot photo of the student.
• 4. Student’s passport and Singapore identity card.
• 5. Parent’s passports and Singapore identity cards.
• 6. Past two years school reports.
• If applicable:
• 1. Most recent Educational Psychological assessment: From the WISC-IV or V cognitive assessment as well as achievement scores the report must include results. Within the last 24 months the report should be dated.
• 2. Recent Therapy assessments/evaluations. Within the past 18 months these reports should be dated.
• Step 4 Class Trial: The School's Admission team will review all application information and documents, upon submission. The student may be invited to attend a 1-3 day class trial, after review of the completed Application etc.
• Step 5 Decision: For a class trial if a student was invited, or a trial the parent has requested, following the class trial, to discuss the observations and feedback from the trial a member of the Admissions team will call the parents, as well as for the school the child’s suitability. If admitted, a formal Placement Letter outlining the details and any conditions of placement the School will send parents, along with information, in the admission process regarding the next steps. Every effort will be made to refer the parents to possible alternatives, if it is determined that Winstedt does not have the necessary resources to support the student.

• To the extent of the applicant’s educational, emotional, social, or health needs if information relevant has not been disclosed to the School by the date of admission, based on the School’s assessment (in its sole discretion), the School reserves the right to withdraw the child that the School is unable to meet the child's needs. At its discretion in special circumstances the Winstedt School reserves the right to allocate places.
