• Step-By-Step Admissions Process
• Step 1: Fill out the Online Application
• In the school's Admissions Portal create an account, where the online application you will find. Before submitting the application you will be prompted to pay the application fee.
• Once you've submitted your application, about next steps the admissions office will reach out to the email address provided. Additionally, your application progress and status you can track online. Please keep track of your username and password as in the enrollment process you will need them later.
• The school also welcome the "Standard Online Application (SAO)".
• Step 2: Submit Required Documents
• Supplement materials may be accessed and through their admissions portal submitted or sent to them at "[email protected]".
• Required supplemental materials:
• 1. Two letters of recommendation: one teacher recommendation, one personal recommendation.
• 2. Report cards from your current school.
• 3. Handwritten essay (essay topic is stated within the application).
• Step 3: Schedule a Visit or Shadow Day
• To visit campus all applicants are invited. For students who are interested in experiencing what TAMS is like on a day-to-day basis, for them they also offer shadow days. Contact the school's admissions office at "207-282-5383" or "[email protected]".
• At TAMS the shadow days will begin on November 1. If you're interested in setting one up, please fill out their "shadow day request form".
• FINANCIAL AID
• To qualifying families who complete an aid application through Clarity, for them the Thornton Academy offers need-based financial aid. Please understand that to provide an award that fully matches the demonstrated need of every family it is not always possible. For financial aid to be considered, along with the required supplemental documents, please submit the completed "Clarity application", as a part of your admission process.

• Step 1: Complete the Online Application
• In the school's Admissions Portal create an account, where the online application you will find. Before submitting the application you will be prompted to pay the application fee.

Within the Admissions Portal, for your student’s teachers you have the opportunity to enter names and emails. To the teachers this will trigger an automatic email, via an online form requesting their feedback. To be on the lookout for these emails please inform the teachers. Should you need them, below the forms are also available.

• Step 3: Schedule an Interview

• Step 2: Submit Required Documents
• Supplement materials may be accessed and through their admissions portal submitted or sent to "[email protected]".
• Required supplemental materials:
• 1. Three letters of recommendation: two teacher recommendation and one personal recommendation. Within the Admissions Portal, for your student’s teachers you have the opportunity to enter names and emails. To the teachers this will trigger an automatic email, via an online form requesting their feedback. To be on the lookout for these emails please inform the teachers. Should you need them, below the forms are also available.
