School History & Details

Titirangi Rudolf Steiner School (TRSS) is a privately funded school in Auckland, New Zealand, offering a unique teaching style known as a Waldorf school. The school provides a co-educational, non-denominational, and independent education for pupils aged newborn to eighteen (playgroup to high school), based on Rudolf Steiner's pedagogical theory. Titirangi Rudolf Steiner School's curriculum and environment are designed to foster independent thinking and social responsibility. Through the investigation of their intellectual, artistic, and social potential, the school views students as holistic beings—body, soul, and spirit—and promotes their development towards self-compassion and respect for both themselves and the global community. The school began its journey as a play center in the Titirangi Beach Hall in 1987. It later moved to Parau before settling on its current location, which was previously owned by the Crown Lynn pottery firm.
