Established in 1875 by the community for the community, Toowoomba Grammar School is among Australia's most venerable and established boys' boarding schools. Established under the Queensland Parliament's Grammar Schools' Act 1860 (Qld), it is one of the state's founding grammar schools. Even now, the Board of Trustees has perpetual leases over the Crown land that served as the foundation for the school. Two years prior to its founding, in 1920, Toowoomba Grammar School received an invitation to join the Great Public Schools Association of Queensland (GPS).
There is more to Toowoomba Grammar School than just schooling. They teach boys how to be morally upright so they can grow as people, have a positive impact on society, and have fulfilling lives. From Prep to Year 12, they provide pastoral care using an evidence-based method, together with community participation and service activities, all aimed at ensuring their boys are well-rounded, self-sufficient, and capable of handling life's challenges.
