George Alexander Chambers established the Trinity Grammar School-Sydney in 1913 in an effort to "fulfil a long-felt need of a Church secondary school in the Western Suburbs." Chambers was motivated by a desire to help young men develop their character, personalities, and leadership skills. Growing "the complete man"—mind, body, and spirit—has always been the goal of Trinity. At the start of the 1913 school year, there were twenty-nine boys enrolled; by the end of the year, there were 57. But by 1942, Trinity's chances were so bleak that the school would be shut down.
Based on their Anglican roots and moulded by their Christian values, Trinity Grammar School-Sydney aims to make sure that each boy is seen as an individual, given the attention and support he needs to develop physically, mentally, and spiritually. Men of character who will care for others, the world, and themselves are what we hope to help raise.
