Application Process

The Tunku Putra International School admission process is outlined below.

Follow these simple steps mentioned below:

• Step 1 - Make An Application
• To Tunku Putra School Putra Jaya submit an application with a completed and signed application form with the documents and items listed below. Additional documents may be required as and when necessary. Please note that until all required documentation have been received the school is unable to process any application.
• 1. Application for Admissions form (from the Application Form webpage the form can be downloaded or submitted online or from the Admissions Office collected).
• 2. Medical and Health Record form (for Admissions form included in Application).
• 3. Two recent colour passport size Photographs of the Child, Parents and Guardian (if applicable).
• 4. A copy of the Child's Birth Certificate, Passport, Identity Card (Malaysian) and Visa (non- Malaysian).
• 5. A copy of both Parents' Passport, Identity Card (Malaysian) and Visa (non- Malaysian).
• 6. The most recent year's school report and regarding character and ability testimonial from the Principal/Class Teacher.
• 7. With an appointed Guardian, parents where applicants who are staying must provide the School with the Guardian's most recent photo, a copy of Guardian's Passport, Identity Card (Malaysian), Visa (non- Malaysian) and as a Guardian a letter confirming the appointment.
• 8. Application Fee - On acceptance of the child's admission to Tunku Putra School a non-refundable and non-transferable fee is payable. A place the submission of an application does not guarantee.

• Step 2 - Assessment
• As soon as the application is received applicants are scheduled for an assessment, provided that it is complete. For different year groups the nature of the assessment varies and with the Coordinator of the section will also involve a meeting to which admission is being sought etc.
• Step 3 - Application Review
• Taking into consideration various factors the assessed applications will be reviewed, including the results of the assessment, subject options at IGCSE, the English language ability level, the child's behaviour and availability of places, school reports. To assign priorities for admission or refuse admission for any reason we deem fit the school reserves the right. The applicants remain in the queue, where places are insufficient.
• Step 4 - Offer Of Place
• An offer of place will be made if the application is successful. At the absolute discretion of the school the placement of the child is, various factors taking into consideration, including the student's age, academic ability, and relative to the school's current students the level of achievement. To the school an offer of admission is also based on the belief that the child will benefit from the curriculum offered and that to progress their learning and fulfill their potential they have a desire. It is possible on specific conditions a child is accepted. By paying the applicable fees on or before the stipulated date on the letter of offer the acceptance of the offer must be made. The acceptance of a place the payment of the required fees constitutes and therein the place for the child confirms. By an employer if the fees are paid, from the company kindly produce a Letter of Financial Guarantee and before the due date send it to school etc.
• Expatriate Applicants
• The Malaysian Immigration Authority requests that upon acceptance by the school all expatriate students obtain a relevant visa. Upon payment of designated fee the school will assist with this process. Of any guardian's visa application the school will also not be responsible and of the parents it is the responsibility. For non-Malaysian citizens, admission to, and at the school continued status as a student, on the child possessing a valid visa issued by the Malaysian Immigration Department is conditional. During the child's enrolment at the school the parent shall undertake to keep the school informed of any change in the status.
• Step 5 - Admission
• The school will communicate the start date of the child, upon receiving payment or letter of financial guarantee, which an acceptance of offer confirms. With the purchase of the school uniform and text books as required support will be given by the section of the school to which the student is being admitted.
