University College School Hampstead Senior School split out from University College London in 1905, and two years later it relocated to a brand-new, purpose-built location in Hampstead's beautiful Frognal neighbourhood. The school's 150th anniversary was celebrated in 1980 with a visit by Elizabeth II, who had presided over the official opening under Edward VII.
