University College School Hampstead (UCS) Senior, which was established in 1830 as a division of University College London and relocated to Hampstead in 1907, will celebrate its bicentennial in 2030. The institution began operations on November 1st, 1830, with Headmaster Henry Browne, and shared the same founding fathers as the aforementioned UCL. University College School Hampstead (UCS) Senior School has always set itself apart from other educational institutions by being among the first to provide courses in modern languages and the natural sciences. University College School Hampstead Senior School split out from University College London in 1905, and two years later it relocated to a brand-new, purpose-built location in Hampstead's beautiful Frognal neighbourhood. The school's 150th anniversary was celebrated in 1980 with a visit by Elizabeth II, who had presided over the official opening under Edward VII.
