The school is located in "Frazione Duino, 29, 34011 Duino TS, Italy".

The school timings are as follows:- school start time: 8:00 am and school finish time: generally 1:15 pm with the possibility of teachers (especially math and sciences) to continue until 1.45 pm (Extension).

The UWCA offers many CAS activities (creative, sports and volunteering opportunities). The creative activities include:- Ceramics / Pottery, Chess, Creative writing & Literature Appreciation, Poetry, Drawing & Graphic Design, Crochet and Knitting, Model United Nations (MUN), TEDx UWC Adriatic, Gardening, Adriatic Times (blog), Musical activities (choir, piano lessons, solo singing, music composition, instrumental lessons, ensembles, musical show), Photography, Video-making, Theatre Tech Club and Yearbook; it also includes Art, Drama, and Choir. The extracurricular activities also include Dance etc & other activities if any.

Right after graduation approximately 80% go to university with around 20% taking a gap year (most of whom then go to university the following year).

The UWC Adriatic is not a private school therefore they do not have a registration process like other schools do. By April they generally know which students have been selected for the following year and the admissions process is generally completed by June or July at the latest.

The UWC Adriatic is a residential school. Teachers live onsite so their students (16-19 years of age) so staff members are always present. On Duty system there is a Teacher so that even on the weekends students always have staff members (and medical staff) they can turn to in case of any issues.

At UWC Adriatic the most popular sports are:- Aerobics, Basketball, Climbing, Cross Country Running, Golf, Hiking, Kayaking, Orienteering, Sailing, Soccer, Swimming, Table Tennis, Ultimate Frisbee, Yoga, Cross-country and Downhill Skiing, Caving, Basketball, Football, Volleyball, Archery, Aerobics, Boxing, Badminton, Hip Hop, Long-distance Running, Mountain Biking etc & other sports if any.

At UWC adriatic sports are less of a competitive, results-oriented activity and more of an opportunity to challenge oneself and develop team skills. Having said that for students to participate in local competitions and sports events (especially skiing and running) the individual activity supervisors/instructors like to provide opportunities.

The percentage of local students is "5%" and international students is "95%".
