The history of UWC Atlantic is as fascinating as the experiences and perspectives that its diverse student body brings to campus each year. The college, located in the small town of St. Donat's in South Wales, was founded in 1962 and was the first United World Colleges. The college began with just few students from 12 countries. However, the reputation of UWC Atlantic quickly grew, and today it attracts over 350 students from around 90 countries each year. Students come to study the rigorous International Baccalaureate curriculum, which includes a focus on community service and the opportunity to engage in projects around the world. Over the years, UWC Atlantic has faced its share of challenges, including financial difficulties and political controversies. Yet it has always persevered, remaining true to Hahn's vision and mission. Today, the college continues to inspire and challenge its students to become the leaders of tomorrow, promoting a culture of respect, understanding, and cooperation among nations.
