Yes. VERSO offers a full catering service that includes a morning snack and lunch, prepared and cooked in our cafeteria’s kitchen and catered by Epicure Catering.

VERSO uses a customized American curriculum model aligned with the New York State Learning standards. Learning is interdisciplinary, project-based and highly personalized. Key components of our curriculum include immersive language-learning, human-centered design, digital media arts, and a holistic approach to health, physical activity and well-being. Specific Advanced Placement (AP) courses are available for learners who wish to supplement their personalized pathway using university-level material through single subject courses. Those learners who score well on the AP exams may receive university credit at the discretion of individual colleges and universities. VERSO currently offers STEAM based AP courses such as Physics, Biology, 2D Art, Computer Science, Statistics, and Calculus. VERSO International School is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), which will validate the integrity of the school’s program and transcript.

English is the medium of instruction at VERSO and is our primary language for all communication. For languages other than English, we currently have a team of specialist Learning Designers supporting both Thai and Chinese (Mandarin). The Thai program is mostly a first-language program focusing on further developing learners’ literacy skills and offering second language Thai for non-Thai students. The Chinese program is mostly a language acquisition program for second or additional language learners. Support for learners to continue developing additional world languages will be added gradually if and when the need arises. Learners at VERSO can request to study a third language if they are meeting expectations in English. It is expected that all learners meet a minimum of WIDA Level 5 before taking on further languages.

We can transition students into VERSO from other schools and likewise, we can also transition students out of VERSO to other schools around the world. At VERSO, our Learning Designers will work with students on a close and individual basis to build a complete understanding of each child. Working with families and keeping an open communication are keys in supporting a successful transition.
