Vidya Niketan Birla Public School, Pilani was established in 1944. It is a boys day-boarding school. The Birla Educational Trust founded the school under the guidance of Dr. Maria Montessori, the world-acclaimed pioneer in child education. The Institution remained a day school till 1948. In 1952, the school was made a purely residential institution. In 1953, the school was granted the membership of the Indian Public School Conference. Over the decades, the school has grown to become one of the most prestigious residential schools in India, blending traditional values with modern education.
