The Warwick School is a selective public school in Warwick, England that is modeled after a British independent boarding and day school. A selective school is one that admits pupils based on some form of selection criteria, usually intellectual. The town of Warwick was first mentioned in the Anglo-Saxon Chronicle of the ninth and tenth centuries in 914, under the rule of the flawed, Alfred the Great's daughter. King Edward the Confessor (1042–1066), as well as presumably for at least a century before that, established Warwick School, most likely on the grounds of Warwick Castle.
Six guiding principles serve as the foundation for Warwick School's values: curiosity, humility, creativity, responsibility, courage, and perseverance. Inspiring and nurturing each student to succeed in the world, both now and in the future is Warwick School's goal through the promotion of these values.
