Kelly Nunn, an alumna from the class of 2015, embarked on her educational journey as a foundation student at Wentworth College. Her time with us began in year 9, and she concluded her schooling at the end of year 11. Kelly's exceptional dedication and talents earned her a prestigious full scholarship to attend St. Paul's Collegiate in Hamilton, where she lived as a boarder. Upon completing year 13, Kelly pursued her dreams of becoming a doctor by enrolling at Auckland University to study Health Science. Her academic prowess shone through, and after her first year, she secured a coveted spot at the Auckland School of Medicine. Today, Kelly stands as a qualified doctor, ready to make a meaningful impact in her field. She has been appointed to her inaugural full-time position at Rotorua Hospital. Kelly is brimming with enthusiasm for her role in Rotorua, where she anticipates encountering a diverse range of medical challenges unique to a regional hospital, opportunities that may not be as prevalent in larger city hospitals.   Sam Pearson, an alumnus of Wentworth College from the class of 2011, fondly reflects on his formative years at the institution, recognizing it as a pivotal influence on his journey to success. In the aftermath of his time at Wentworth, I embarked on a path of higher education, dedicating several years to the study of Computer Science at the University of Auckland. In January 2015, I took a significant turn in my career by joining the esteemed ranks of the Royal New Zealand Air Force. After rigorous training, I proudly completed my training in July 2016 and earned my AWS Brevet (Wing). My role as an Air Warfare Specialist centers around operating advanced sensors aboard the P-3K2 Orion Maritime Patrol Aircraft. Serving with 5 Squadron, I regularly engage in vital missions such as Search and Rescue, Fisheries Protection, and Anti-Submarine exercises. The Royal New Zealand Air Force has afforded me the incredible opportunity to visit multiple Pacific Islands and Malaysia, with many more exciting journeys on the horizon. Life within the New Zealand Defence Force is exceptionally fulfilling, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone contemplating a career in the military.
