In 1942, the Narrogin School of Agriculture was converted into a war convalescent dormitory for returning veterans, and as a result, students were relocated there, starting the "Denmark School of Agriculture." Up until the boarding facilities were constructed in 1947, students were boarded in town. There was space there for up to forty guys. The school became known as the "agricultural wing of the Denmark Agricultural Junior High School" after combining with the High school in 1953. Following its separation from the high school in 1991, the agricultural wing became the Denmark Agricultural College for Years 11 and 12, and it was renamed the "Denmark Agricultural District High School" in 1972. The college is now known as WA College of Agriculture - Denmark and is a member of a consortium that includes four other regional agricultural colleges.
